On October 18th, the Center on National Security hosted a discussion between Distinguished Fellow for Global Security John O. Brennan and David Ignatius.
John O. Brennan joins the Center on National Security as the Distinguished Fellow for Global Security after 33 years of government service. Most recently, he served as the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency under President Barack Obama from 2013 to 2017. Before becoming Director, Mr. Brennan served at the White House for four years as Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism.
David Ignatius is a prize-winning columnist for the Washington Post, who has been covering the Middle East and the CIA for more than twenty-five years. He is the best-selling author of ten espionage novels, including The Quantum Spy, which will be published in November. He serves as a Senior Fellow in the Future of Diplomacy Program at the Kennedy School at Harvard University.
