Apply to be a Morning Brief Writer or Editor
The Center on National Security at Fordham Law School seeks editors and writers (remote) for The CNS Soufan Group Morning Brief, the Center’s daily news roundup of stories about national and global security. Sent out each weekday morning, The CNS Soufan Group Morning Brief is an email news round up that seeks to call attention to the most important current events related to the convergence of national security, civil liberties, judicial proceedings, and foreign policy. Applicants should possess some knowledge of national security and/or international affairs as well as excellent writing and editing skills. Experience with writing newsletters or news clips and consolidating detailed reports into informative summaries is recommended. Applicants based on the east coast are preferred. Qualifications and Experience
Experience with newsletters
Experience synthesizing and summarizing reports and long-form articles
Strong writing and editing skills
Experience studying or working in foreign affairs or national security
Strong communication skills and a team player
BA with a degree in foreign affairs, political science, or a related field. Graduate degree holders are preferred
Salary: $100-$125 per brief
